bro, dun worry abt the left over... unless u were saying that u did full car soundproof and left with 70% to 80% of the total material u bought. otherwise, keep it. U will find some location need further soundproofing...

its depend on yourself. which part of your car have the worst sound proof? wheelarch for instance, can improved the roadnoise generated by your tyre. if not enof, your floor pan??

 

On the other hand, boot is the easiest location for sound proofing. have u consider that?
