I parked beside 2 empty lots and that lorry can reverse and bang my left side door flat and side mirror dropped out haha! wah... like that also can. One time i saw a car make a three point turn at a dead-end of a carpark, scrape a parked car so loud, but don't even care or realize it... wonder what the parked car owner feel and do in the end.... so in your case, you just laugh and forget? Wisefool 1st Gear January 7, 2011 Share January 7, 2011 I sympathise with you but I got my new ride vandalised at Vivocity in Nov. Made a police report to view CCTV but security camera didn't manage to point at my direction although it's just overhead. Spent almost a whole afternoon doing this. Considered installing video recorder but really doesn't help cos you're giving the culprit to come after you as well. Suggest spending the sum to do up the car. As much as we want justice to be served, the sad fact is there's really nothing much we can do. Try to park beside a wall or pillar to reduce the chances of damage is more practical. Jj5599 1st Gear January 7, 2011 Share January 7, 2011 What happened to your ride? I also try to find next to pillar or single lots but always got music from my wife who is always impatient.
Civic6228 6th Gear January 7, 2011 Share January 7, 2011 What happened to your ride? I also try to find next to pillar or single lots but always got music from my wife who is always impatient. Hahaha.... Just got into an argument with Wife on this issue. She complaining that I am also looking for corner lots and parking next to pillar. She complaining that she has to be careful opening the door to prevent it from hitting the wall/pillar. She is saying when I will stop the habit as the car is less than 2 months old. Fed up .... told her that if i part next to wall/pillar i will have 50% to get dents and it there are dents i am the one having to pay for it. In that case, isn't it better to be cautious rather than having to pay for the repair. WOMEN ............ they are all the same. I have came across "people" that will open their door big big on purpose expecially if they know that the car beside them is a new car. I really cannot understand the mentality of these people. Luckily, this time i retain my number plate for my previous car and people cannot tell that it is a new car.

Ak7887 1st Gear January 7, 2011 Share January 7, 2011 (edited) bro, relac... :) human wife is for life mechanical wife only 10 yrs (want more love after 10 yrs must pay) Bro, this is the answer to prevent ppl from opening their doors and slamming into yours. Park your car near to theirs. Close enough for them to notice and hence they will open more carefully (I hope). Usually dents happen when ppl assume the gap is sufficient, swing their door and tah dah.... So, park closer to others like you park close to the pillar. Of course, even if they are TL, they cannot swing hard enough to make a dent haha. Edited January 7, 2011 by Ak7887 ↡ Advertisement
