Not so much talent problem, as other countries pay more for NZ talent, so they have trouble holding onto the talent they have.....NZ is really world beater in a lot of areas...

 

So r u given a better package here, better than u can possibly get back in NZ?

 

Spoke to some of my NZ colleagues, they are complaining about the "situation" in NZ and about how >100000 NZers are leaving for Australia annually (is that true?). So I asked them why are they not moving too since they do have the skills to do much better for themselves outside NZ. The reply....."The fishing is good in NZ".

 

So i guess if i ever wanted good fishing in future, I'll be a NZ FT

Well, if he can do much better for himself in NZ, he can always move his entire family back to NZ. After all, PRs are treated equally in NZ, so his wife/kids will be treated better there.
