Pisces69 6th Gear October 7, 2010 Share October 7, 2010 The Suzuki Swift 1.2L also doesn't have a rev meter..guess its due to cost cutting measures... Manufacturers prob feel these budget cars wont b driven hard so its not necessary. Now manufacturs r trying to cut any unnecessary cost to survive. Even spare tire now ty give u a cheepo 'donut' to save weight n cut costs. ↡ Advertisement
Pisces69 6th Gear October 7, 2010 Share October 7, 2010 just how much can they save without a rev meter? i wonder... When companies r not making $, every cent counts to help stay alive.
Pisces69 6th Gear October 7, 2010 Share October 7, 2010 I do i am a weird driver as i look at it all the time. For one thing, i like to monitor the rubber band effect and secondly it is a good practice to prevent me from acquiring the "tah tua yew" syndrome. Youll b surprised how many pple just treat their cars as a tool to get around. Maybe not in SG where most cars r ''status symbols'' but some pple just get in, start n go. As i said its nice to hv. Maybe as a novelty or like u said, just something to look at, but serves no real important function anymre. There r some cars that dont even hv a temp gauge now. Just a light that changes fm red to green n red again if theres something wrong. ↡ Advertisement
