Does Spark plug increase performance ??

Btw, just wanna check. By default denso iridium gap is how many mm?? Issit 0.4mm??

Then what will happen if your plugs misfires?? Will the car stall?

Fr normal copper plugs, my handbook recommend change at 20k km, which i always do.

 

But even after using fr 20k km, e plugs still feel ok as engine still smooth n no misfire under load.

 

But maybe going more might start to feel abit of loss of power.

 

Anyway copper plugs r cheap so change every 20k km is fine. Fresh plugs is always good fr e engine.

ngk copper spark plug?? copper normally last 10k...

 

So far all jap/korean cars i drove, handbook says to change copper plugs at 20k km.

 

It also says inspect at 10k km but i never do it cos plugs still feel ok all e way to 20k km. And i dont like to put back plugs once removed cos e crushable washer might not give a good seal if re-used.

Looks like a standard hot plug wh resistor. Sud b wh 'u' groove also.

All in order on my previous Kelisa, the copper electrode spark plugs after 50,000km did not need to re-gap the spark plugs (almost like new). I believe Iridium spark plugs can be overkill for some people to use them (waste money?)

I think yr fren use 'butt-dyno'. That 1 not accurate. even e type of underwear used can affect e 'results'.

i think unless you are running on CNG most of the time, else good old stock i.e. copper spark plugs should be good enough. Search up on genie's thread. He talked about adjusting the gapping in the spark plug for CNG combustion.

The manufacturers did not recommend that. It was my curiosity that I decided to examine the spark plugs after driving more than 50,000km. I re-installed those spark plugs and keep driving with them

Actually, many "performance" cables are not designed for more power, its designed for better noise suppression. This is because literally racing cars are using CDI which produces much higher noise compared to regular induction coils. Hence better noise suppression is needed. Most of our stock cables are nothing more than straight wire power cables with built in resistor (to suppress noise) and thick insulation to prevent electric shock.

 

Those peformance ones (eg. Magnecor) will have its wire wound around a center core and silicone insulation for best noise suppression.

Ya my car hit 100k km next year. Sud b time to change then.

 

But b4 i change, i wil use my special tool to check if cables got leak current 1st. If no leak, maybe can delay change.

Still can drive happily? Happy go lucky. I did not buy new spark plgs since no need for replacement/re-gapping. After warranty for present car matured, may do likewise (it seems the engine pretty good)
