Sonata Cabs Really Power!

Everytime at traffic ligth they will accelerate much faster than me one. They can easily pull a 20m gap ahead of me with ease man... Despite me revving till 2.4K RPM then change gear still no way to catch them. These cabs are really powerful.

Sorry, edit... its till 2.4K RPM, not 2K. 2K is what I normally change gear at. ITs not when I drive harder.

Probably u need to ramp >3,000rpm before you can overtake them.

If I am not mistaken, Sonata is using turbo engine.

Not many Jap cars can beat them.

2k RPM and you wonder why others can overtake you? Hahaha, do you even drive in the first place? Don't talk about taxis, anyone in any vehicle can outrun you if you change gear no higher at than 2k RPM [laugh][laugh]

OK, my mistake. ITs not 2K, its 2.4K RPM. I tried stepping till 2.4KRPM (didn't floor though) but I couldn't touch the cabs at all. Smell their exhaust only....

Yes... outright acceleration Sonota is very quick.

But then hor, at 80km/hr onwards....you can play with them, as the acceleration among cars will be roughly the same.

Meaning if both of you travelling side by side at 80km/hr, and there is an obstacles in front of the taxi, and the taxi tries to accelerate to overtake infront.....you can also accelerate jsut as fast to Block the taxi from cutting in front of you.

My Honda Jazz is capable of matching the acceleration of sonota from 80-120km/hr. No way they can overtake me at running speed.

As for red light race, my Jazz always lose and smell sonota smoke!

Talking about stream...... I was beaten by a Stream RSZ today at traffic lights. As I was accelerating off the traffic lights, the RSZ behind me suddenly go VRROOOMM.... and overtake and cut back in front of me..... Duh..... I was like WTF... beaten by a Stream! It looks stock somemore. No big exhaust, no turbo sound, nothing.....

are you sure a 1.4L jazz can out run a turbo charged 2L taxi? i used to own a jazz for 4 yrs and it always run out of breath over 90km/h.

2.4k rpm oso difficult to catch up any cars...

u noe wat is the meaning of rpm b4 telling us u changing gear at which rpm???

Yes sir, I do know. I know its a little slow. But I always keep my RPM low to save fuel. So always change gear at 2K RPM.

Else Turbo kicks in it will drink petrol like nobody business. Heart pain.....

Maybe you dare not pedal to the metal?

I did and all the time I succeed in blocking Taxi.

80km/hr to 120km/hr.....my Jazz is just as fast as taxi acceleration.
