Zoom99 Neutral Newbie October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 I always disturb them to have a taste of their medicine. Knowing that Sonata are powerful, they just filter lanes as and when they desire. Often I block their path...very shiok that they got to go behind me. ↡ Advertisement
Moredhel 2nd Gear October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 I pulled off at 6k rpm and the bangala cycled pass me. Very disappointed. Can I ask the sonata revenge for me?
13177 Hypersonic October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 Not only Sonata, all taxis accelerate very fast off the traffic lights! U cannot win them one!

Krado Clutched October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 Talking about stream...... I was beaten by a Stream RSZ today at traffic lights. As I was accelerating off the traffic lights, the RSZ behind me suddenly go VRROOOMM.... and overtake and cut back in front of me..... Duh..... I was like WTF... beaten by a Stream! It looks stock somemore. No big exhaust, no turbo sound, nothing..... http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?showto...p;#entry3393974 When I challenge, I put my life down and prepare to die. STILL NOT DEAD YET?
Krado Clutched October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 Yes sir, I do know. I know its a little slow. But I always keep my RPM low to save fuel. So always change gear at 2K RPM. Else Turbo kicks in it will drink petrol like nobody business. Heart pain..... You prepared to die at 2K rpm? Don't talk c--k lah.

Nzy Twincharged October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 Maybe you dare not pedal to the metal? I did and all the time I succeed in blocking Taxi. 80km/hr to 120km/hr.....my Jazz is just as fast as taxi acceleration. Ur jazz modded? Or maybe the taxi not even flooring the pedal. Cuz I was sitting in a colleague's 2.0M civic when he tried to overtake a taxi. The taxi managed to block him to prevent him from overtaking. Not sure what was the speed but he was already flooring the pedal.
Coupecabriolet Clutched October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 I use VW's DSG launch control, ESP off and in Sports mode, also lose to Sonata taxis all the time when i move off from a traffic junction.... Wait, why do you all like to drive like that? :p Trying to prove a point (a ridiculous one) at the expense of other road users' safety? But quite fun when I see taxis racing against each other. Turbonetics 2nd Gear October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 Everytime at traffic ligth they will accelerate much faster than me one. They can easily pull a 20m gap ahead of me with ease man... Despite me revving till 2.4K RPM then change gear still no way to catch them. These cabs are really powerful. Sorry, edit... its till 2.4K RPM, not 2K. 2K is what I normally change gear at. ITs not when I drive harder. when i change gear below 2.5k rpm, alot of cars can easily overtake me from traffic light.
Kyrios Turbocharged October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 Yes they are comfortable to ride also these sonatas..keke
Jchuacl Clutched October 8, 2010 Share October 8, 2010 Their pick up is good at low end, can only leave them in the dust after revving 7+k rpm as my car don't have good low end torque . Ur jazz modded? Or maybe the taxi not even flooring the pedal. Cuz I was sitting in a colleague's 2.0M civic when he tried to overtake a taxi.
