My Review: Pivot FLAT throttle control Installed & Tested. As recommended by Bro Troy.... Even though I had been going against it for almost 1yr due to reading other forum and feedback by others. ECON 5 ... Super lag.... Turtle retarded Feels like stock car + lousy open pod... + fully loaded with 7pax. SP1... . ... 10% open throttle SP2... F ... 20% throttle SP3... Fa ... 30% throttle SP4... Fas... 40% throttle SP5... Fast... 60% throttle SP6... Faster... 80% throttle SP7... Fastest... 100% full throttle . * SP1 to SP3 : Responsive, but not much diff yet. * SP4 to SP6 : Very responsive, cheong forward like nobody business but drink fuel like water. - Still testing only ECON 5 ... Don't want to get addicted till I drive up NORTH to try SP4toSP6 again.. SP7 should be super responsive, dare not try yet.. Doesn't gain any BHP or horse at all, just allow throttle valve to open bigger when you step the pedal.. That's it... Goobii Neutral Newbie December 4, 2011 Share December 4, 2011 Extracted from: sg3gwrx 1. A device designed for electronic throttle car models that gives you, the driver, the freedom to select the type of acceleration response you need or desire. A wide variety of response adjustment can be yours: from Sports Mode which gives you a keenly sharp response for speedy driving to a slower than normal response to enable eco-driving even without thinking about it. A next generation throttle controller for both Sports and Eco-driving. 2. Quick Response for SPORTS Mode: Quick accelerator response for circuit and sports driving on mountain roads. After solving delayed response during acceleration. ECO Mode: World's First Slowed-down Response -Slower accelerator response suited for eco-driving in towns and on highways. Slowing down acceleration response brings better fuel efficiency and a more comfortable ride. The only throttle controller designed with ECO Mode.ECO Mode increases fuel efficiency over normal conditions by suppressing rapid acceleration; if rapid acceleration is continually carried out results will be nullified. 3. One-touch selection between 3 modes (ECONOMIC :ECO 1~5, NORMAL SPORT: SP 1~7) and 12 steps. Fine tune control with 7 steps for SPORTS Mode and 5 for ECO Mode. 4. What kind of increase in fuel efficiency can I expect when using ECO Mode? ANS: ECO Mode helps to improve fuel efficiency by controlling unnecessary acceleration during take off and when stepping on the pedal; thereby reducing the unnecessary use of fuel. Results from our tests, as seen below, show an average increase in fuel efficiency of about 15% between Normal and ECO modes. 5. What settings should I make for racing? ANS: This depends on the type of race, car, road and driver. Below are details for one team. Note that surprisingly ECO-mode (a different name for competition cars) is chosen for accelerator operation to enhance gripping and reduce time. Scenario Settings : Circuit (on dry roads) SP1 - SP5 Circuit (on rainy roads) Ec3 - SP3 Autocross (on dry roads) SP3 - SP7 Dirt Trail (on dry roads) Ec2 - SP5 Rally (on dry roads) Ec2 - SP4 Drift (on dry roads) SP3 - SP7

SimplyTWL 1st Gear April 21, 2012 Share April 21, 2012 Seriously why can't E-throttle car drivers just control their own right foot and save up these sort of money??
ER-3682 Supersonic April 22, 2012 Share April 22, 2012 Seriously why can't E-throttle car drivers just control their own right foot and save up these sort of money?? Agreed,i suspect some people right ankle is too lazy to press down the throttle pedal,so they fit the controller, the toes just 'touch' & the car go.! 987 1st Gear April 22, 2012 Share April 22, 2012 there are still a lot of people out there having the wrong perception of the function of an e-throttle. yes, it doesn't add any horses... no, it doesn't affect or change your fuel consumption but with the added 'fun', most people ended up with higher fuel consumption. no, stomping your right foot and by putting the pedal to the metal would not be able to acheive same result of what the e-throttle would be able to do it basically, depending on the setting, it eliminates or reduces the lag of the throttle response. the pressence of the lag is still there if you stomp on the pedal, which momentarily for a split second, there is no reaction and after that, the engine roars into life. e-throttle just makes your engine react faster along with your foot. this is especially so with auto cars. those driving manual, would also find it much easier to rev match while executing heel/toe. for those ex-users of e-throttle, i assume that they don't like the harshness and agressive feel and probably that's not what they are expecting, thus selling it away. personally, i feel that this is the most worth modification i ever did to my ride, in terms of dollar to fun factor. imo, those who commented negatively on the e-throttle, i have to disagree with you. i am also led to believe that you have not tried the e-throttle in-person. I personally dont have it installed though. My ride is cable throttle so no point doing it, tried my friend's ride before and after installing it. He felt like kena lemon-ed.. He sold it off and did something else much worthy on his ride~ ↡ Advertisement
