Hankook Ventus ME01

Bros, i just changed my Toyo T1Rs for Hankook ME01 last week. i am running on 205 55 16" the grip on wet is good but not as grippy as T1R but i must say really close esp braking on wet.

 

but the ME01 are really really quiet tyres. i was cruising on PIE and unwittingly hit almost 120kmh coz the tyres were so quiet that i did not take note of the speed...

 

 

I must say the ME01 lookd promising, one thing to be verified is the treadwear of 300. the thread looks kinda shallow as compared to my previous T1R that were really really deep grooves.

 

any bros also on ME01 to shre their experiences?/

ME01 is very new and you can hardly find any review. I almost change to ME01 205/55/16 too but too bad no stock at that time. Is the tyre you got new stock?

ME01 was a new tyre & yet to hve any review. Their staff told me that ME01 is on par with Mich PS3 but at an affordable price.

seems that its a comfort/eco type of tyre. ME=Maximum Efficiency.

 

Could be an alternative to Michelin XM1

i got them at $129 per pc after the Hankook discount.

 

after having them on for 2 weeks i can feel that the rolling resistance is much lower than my previous tyre...

 

at the red lights after i ease the throttle, my car tend to roll further than normal and i have to step on the brakes much harder to stop the car..

 

ME01 is really quiet compare to my previous T1Rs... i must say the braking on wet n dry not as good as T1R but the ME01s are good enough..

 

the thread looks kinda shallow but the ratings are 300 so i have to wait and see before i can give a fair review :)

bro ,how many millage have u done on the tyres?? from my experience 90 % of the tyres within the first 10000 noise level should be low, after that when the wear and tear start to come, then u can judge the tyre good or not.

 

eg noise level if higher , then higher by how much

wear how much esp in front ,

and lastly any vibrtion .

If need to step on the brakes much harder to stop, that is bad...

Imagine E-brake, how hard need to step on?

If rolling resistance is lower, it means that it's less grippy. Believe it's an energy saving/comfort tyre rather than a performance tyre. Hence the increased braking distance..juz step harder on the brakes lor...

Me just got this tyre today. 205/50/16 about $132 per pcs with the hankook card. Free nitro, patching for 2 years and $55 battery voucher.

It is comfort tyre as compared to V12, noise level is supposed to be lower.

I just installed mine this morning. 205/50/R16, $122/piece after all the discount when i signed up for member at 33.

 

Yes, it is DAMN quiet, already done 100km and will monitor if there's any change after 10,000km.

Yes, i noticed that i have to step my brake harder to come to a complete stop at red light.

Yes, it is very comfortable and not much vibration.

Almost got this set of tires last week at wdlands branch .. but in the end i got the S1 evo @ $167.50 215/45/17 profiling

 

hmm ... cant help but notice .. why jayc and Edward's prices differ by $10 ? if both of you have the hankook membership card ?

it should be of the same pricing right ? since u both got the same model and same profile ?

was pretty amazed with this tyre.

Have done around 3K km, tires still good and quiet... ;) maintaining at 250(F)/240® tire pressure.
