ok......final verdict is out.

my toyota sienta died 3 times on the expressway and i can't tahan anymore the jerking, the whole was vibrating.....took it back to my WS Khangs Automotive at Sin Ming...they did a on board test using a hand held PC like device....shows something wrong with the ignition system. So ask a more experienced fellow who took a look at my engine bay..... immediately tell me to remove my 2 units of Thunder Sparks.

He then cautioned me that th worse case scenario will be that my 4 coil gone...........i was like WTF?????????4 COILS gone

Spend $50 for them to do a complete removal and tape back the wire neatly again. Did a on board scan and all was ok.....they confidently tell me no need even to test drive........yr jerking no more. really..........no more

The lesson i learnt......dun anyhow install all these spark or ignition booster that claims to give yr car that extra booster to yr plugs. In the long run, sometime gonna happen.......and u'll be caught by surprise. imagine dying on PIE with those traffic flow

I install them from this chap Jason

http://www.jasonmotorsport.blogspot.com/

I sms him my situation and till now no reply from him......................F man

His men even took a pic of my car after installing the units

Now the Thunder Spark taken out and with me..........always to remind me a lesson not to meddle with such thing in my car........lucky coil and engine ok. imagine my 4 coil gone

Pardon me for saying this, no offense pls. i believe no one forced u to install those useless things into your car, so u cannot shift the blame to others. unless u dun mind sharing why u had it installed in the first place.

Be very careful about such ignition boosters. If you install those ignition VS, its ok because they are just capacitors. However, if you are install devices that boost voltage going to your coil. Make sure your coil is able to handle the voltage else it may get fried.

Having said that, I have to say these devices do work as advertise and they are not snake oil. Having higher primary voltage will result in a stronger magnetic field and hence more powerful spark. But as I said, they work only if your coil is able to handle the voltage. The problem with most stock ignition today is they are coil on plugs which uses very small coils and these coils are not capable of handling higher voltage

If you are using aftermarket coils (like MSD, Mallory etc....) then its not a problem.
