Yokohama Advan Sport is asymmetrical. but not cheap. I can say it is my favourite tyre for wet and dry.

 

have u tried Michelin PS3 or earlier Michelin high performance tyres?

Looking at the recent tyres design...especially the Michelin photo.....seems that the grooves are so damm wide.

Cutting rubber cost? Less rubber, more profit?

 

as long as it does what it claims, then who cares about the design wor.

In my honest opinion.

For normal road users, there is almost no noticeable performance gain from the different tyres.

 

Just get a respectable brand and model, it will be ok.

 

you are right. it depends on the way the driver drives his car. if those slow and steady one, a respectable brand n model is good enough. for those chiong drivers, then better invest in a good high performance tyres.

i went from RE001 to CSC2 as they were about $30 cheaper. Bought from Arrow Tyres.
