Jerryl Clutched September 17, 2011 Share September 17, 2011 (edited) hi, i've changed my front 2 tyres to RE001 just last week and i must say it's a great pair of tyres. Noise were significantly reduced as compared to my previous economical Falken tyres. Dry and wet grips are definitely way better than the Falken that I had and quieter too. i changed it at Soh Brothers (AMK Ave 10) for S$130 per tyre, very good price! will be changing the rear 2 tyres this month end too.. Hi bro can share what tyre size RE001 at 130 per piece. Edited September 17, 2011 by Jerryl
Beachboy7718 Clutched September 17, 2011 Author Share September 17, 2011 1st purchase 2 pc RE001 from Tyrepac at total $181 only when Toyo stock tyres rubber chip out. Hope that another 2 tyres okay but it also chip out after few runs on HW. End up change RE001 for $210 from Kim Hoe yesterday with all tyres N2 filling. Size is 215/55/17. Better change the same pattern before RE001 vanishing in market soon. RE001 still lower pricing than RE002. He is lowest quote when 1st call. Call another 2 workshops but pricing are $240 and $290 for RE001 and $260 for RE002. For those looking for RE001, there are still some sizes available from Tyrepac at attractive pricing. Check it out there.

CH_CO 6th Gear December 20, 2011 Share December 20, 2011 Personally i prefer continental premium contact 2 , just change it for one of my car 195/65/15 at 135 each , the initial feel was much better than RE001 , quieter and better grip in rain. Jonlim8842 Neutral Newbie February 20, 2012 Share February 20, 2012 Running on GR90 for 12 months on MPV, 245/40R18 ; * tyres already wear off quite significantly in about 15k * Quiet, but a bit hard * Braking grip is not so good * Expensive $450/pc Trying to switch to Conti new CS5 but price even higher at $550/pc.. Any recommendations? Prefer better grip yet not too noisy though.

Lucky I did not choose GR90 that I had bad experience with GR80 last me about 25KKM (1 yr) and aqua planning. 2 times with GR80 and finally give up due to unsafe and expensive (No value for $$$). Eventually change to RE001 and so far so good. Next change will look for RE002. Although it may be noiser at high speed but safety and grips come 1st. Value for $$$. I got it at very good pricing from Tyrepac-S'pore. I stick to BS due to more heavy duty function esp for side impact design.
