Hi All,

Would like to check what brand and model of BT u are using for your iPhone?

I have been using Jabra Extreme for the past 1 year. It's small and convenient to use, comes with a car charger. However, battery life not too good and connectivity so so.

Looking to get a new one. Any recommendation?

Tks!!

(edited)

I have used many sets of bluetooth earpiece over the years and many brands including Samsung, Nokia, SE, Motorola, Plantronics, Jabra and Blueant. Some of the best in this field are Plantronics, Jabra, Blueant and Jawbone. I personally prefer the Plantronics . When buying one, make sure you get one with Digital Sound Processor (DSP) which has the ability to cut off unwanted sound. The cheaper ones do not have this feature and you have problem talking in a noisy environment and the party over the other end will have problem understanding what you are trying to say.

Tks guys!

I was told Nokia BT is not compatible with iPhone.

I used to use Sony Ericsson, very good batt life.

Saw the motorola BT, I scare the ear loop will break easily.

I think one must be comfortable with the price you are paying. OK, so you bought one with DSP but how about the other party? My target is $100, anything above that if it is within - I will ask how often do I used it? For the past 3 PC Show and IT Show, I always ended up not able to convinced myself to part with more than $100 on it.

BTW I am using a iTech BT carspeaker when I got my SE800 in 2006. I am now using iPhone 3 with it. Fairly comfortable.

The problem with Iphone is Apple decides to restrict the use of bluetooth for data transfer.

That is to me as good as crippling a good working phone.

My friends with Iphones can't even send pics over bluetooth.

Still on my 3 year old Nokia E71, so far no problems connecting and using bluetooth earpiece.

Bought a China brand and used before, no problems in connecting.

Ok bringing up this thread, need to get a BT Earpiece since my iTech wire broke, no more wired based liao, before tat was using Jabra and it's comfortable but big though.

Here are what i single out, what i am looking out for is clarity and comfort, anyone using the following can help comment on it? If anyone recommending BlueAnt or Jawbone also can. Thanks i need to get it fast before TP confiscated my iphone :(

Jabra Wave

- Looks comfortable

Jabra Extreme

- Seems feature pack, but how is the comfort?

Plantronics Discovery 975

- Looks damn nice but i think the additional battery pouch have inflated the cost of building it, any good? I mainly charge and use in Car.

Plantronics Extreme

- Looks like Feature pack

Plantronics Voyager Pro+

- Looks comfy but seems big

Go for Plantronics BackBeat 903+, Bluetooth and can use to listen music, battery life 7 hours.

Can get it from SLS, level 4-61 (if I remember correctly)
