How do you guys try out the tyres so quickly?

Change even when tyres still new? Like trade in to tyre shop?

Or go track and wear out the tyres faster to justify a change?

I also keen to try the various tyres that suit my car and driving style.

but a tyre can last two years, and within the five years car lifespan, at most change once, that is provided I use the original tyres that came with the car! So only one chance to try alternative tyres for that parricular car.

How u guys get to try so many tyres is really beyond my understanding.

i agree!!

Also, what abt cost/benefit comparison? Sure, some tires are super fantastic, but at what cost? Since tires are utility/expendable (like rice, mobile phone plan, etc), shouldn't price be taken into consideration?

I was on F1 Asymetic as well for the last car. Very good & not overly expensive. Looking forward to the new version. Hope it has the size for my new car.

I clocked 40k a year, so no problems in changing a new set of tyres for each year. In 1 months time, I'll be on my 14th set of tyres.

Same to me, shame to say I drive 25 years and know nothing about tyres....

Quickly go see my current tyres and they are goodyear Asymmetric eagle F1 235/40r18 95y. i changed them last july (opps 1 year exactly liao), topup pressure once and haven't do anything to them till date! Travel 60-80km per day, think better go workshop and do a checking or rotating or something.

rotation is a must esp for heavy car, and big size tyre . my friend get a A5 a few months back, his mileage hit 25000+- only his front 2 tyres botak.

240.40.18 potenza re050a , now he stress, dun know change 2 pcs of same model ( 1 pcs cost a bomb ). or change 4 pcs of cheaper model. LOL .

Eagle F1 asy 2 -

went down to the branch at woodlands, they don't have size yet for 265/35/18, closest they got was 255/35/18 at 390 a piece. as for 17 inch, 225/45/17 is going for around 260 a piece. seems like i have to wait a few more weeks and check again...hope my tyres hold up till then.
