Kenosis Neutral Newbie October 23, 2011 Author Share October 23, 2011 Stake it out. Pray that the lorry is a resident there. I don't think that lorry is a resident here. I search every level of the car-park at midnight and cannot search that car. If I can search that car, i believe that the driver will not ADMIT since there are no CCTV cameras in the WHOLE car-park. Kenosis Neutral Newbie October 24, 2011 Author Share October 24, 2011 I receive Accident Repair Quotation from a workshop of my insurance company. Total price is S$2193.50 Remark: Price quoted subjected to parts availability upon confirmation. Should I claim from my own insurance company? The excess is S$1900. But my next insurance will be high if i claim. Any suggestion for me brothers/sisters?

Expertz 1st Gear October 24, 2011 Share October 24, 2011 No. Don't claim. Your excess already so close to the full sum. No point. if TS claims $200, surely his next insurance renewal wouldn't increase by $200 either right? TS also did not mention how much NCD she has, does this affect NCD? I believe it does you no harm to make a report with the attachment. However, do not mention that lorry as the vehicle that hit your car, as you do not have the witness's consent/particulars. Logic: If I were the witness, I would make independent report of that accident at a Police Station of my convenience, without communication with you. Bingo, you got indenpendent witness on your side. So go ahead to make the police report.

Happily1986 5th Gear October 24, 2011 Share October 24, 2011 (edited) if TS claims $200, surely his next insurance renewal wouldn't increase by $200 either right? TS also did not mention how much NCD she has, does this affect NCD? Don't know whether he or she got NCD protector or not. Anyway NCD is just a percentage discount. If you claim and NCD stays no big deal to underwriters. They WILL increase your base premium. So what even if you got 50% discount? How high they revise depends on their internal underwriting guideline. NCD intact but maybe overall premium more? No point claiming lah. Excess and the amount about the same. Luigi on the next premium just to save the $200? Penny wise pound foolish i feel. Edited October 24, 2011 by Happily1986 ↡ Advertisement
