You may wish to consider investing more money in a reputable brand like Bilstein, KW etc.

Bro, think advise is better. Throw in a little bit more for reputable set & have peace of mind when safety is concern [thumbsup]

Depends la. All shock absorbers are advised to change or replace either at 2 year interval or 80,000 km mileage, whichever is earlier. This is be it stock suspension or coilovers or aftermarket shocks.

One question, bro.

Honda stock suspension is already stiff. So if I change to coilover, it will even be stiffer??

Yes. If you find stock suspension stiff, then can forget about coilover in my honest opinion.

Suspension setup is very subjective. One man's meat is another man's poison.

I would suggest for those who are keen on suspension change to go sit your butt on those fitted with coilover before taking the plunge.

Think it's hard to define stiffness as it's case to case. Anyway, coilover performance don't only depends on spring rates alone. Gotta take consideration into damping & rebounce.. :D

I was on bc coils BC V1. Height and damper adjustable. Enjoyed it for 2 good years without any problems, issues or funny noise. Installation by a mechanic familiar with your car model is very important.

In my opinion, if your concern is comfort, then stay stock. Once you are on coilovers, it will not reach the kind of comfortable setting as stock. The comfort setting in a coilover can never be the same as the original or stock suspension.

ok..thank you bro for your kind advise and great information..will go and ponder over it.. :D

Thanks bro!

Think I will stick to stock. Save my headache, time and $$.

We are just a daily car driver driving to work and weekends.... And we only "own" the car for 10 years "lease"

yea..thank you bro for sharing..my concern will be comfort and looks rather than performance..how is bc coil's comfort? i was considering that as well..i am driving a vios btw..thanks.. [:)]

Comfort wise definitely stiffer than stock.

For vios, I feel that the suspension is already quite good.

People change to coilovers for a few reasons:

- Lower Ride Height

- Increase Handling

- Tyre rubbing fender when full load

Of course, coilovers to a driver "shiok" but to passengers..???

Hi Guys

Sorry to hitch this thread for my suspension question as I yet to hit 25 posting.

U see, I used coilover on my previous ride so i know what to expect.... smile [drivingcar] on my face, [furious] fm passanger. After market spring is out as it tends to lower the ride.

I'm driving a wish and will like to ask if it is possible to use Rav 4 or Estima stock spring on my wish stock absorber. ie replace current spring with an Estima one etc

I believe the spring rate from Rav 4 or Estima is higher than wish one, can anyone verify? Just want a slightly firmer drive than current.

Thanks

Try KW V2 Street Comfort coilvers. They are fully rebound dampening & height adjustable & match stock shocks comfort.

I'm having them installed this Thu.

wa now become suspension guru huh.. mai anyhow intro expensive yet un-servicable brand like Bilstein.

my previous car was on PSS9 and there were knocking sounds. nobody can service them locally and i llst. btw, damping rate has got only 8 settings.

kw is a much better choice, imo. tested my fren's car same as mine wif kw and i find it a tad better.

in any case, try to avoid to-meimei coilovers. had them on bcoz it was cheap and learned that cheap things ain't good and good things ain't cheap.

Nah.....I don't anyhow intro or sell to people.....

As you know, I am a newbie and a lot of these information can be found in this forum.....:D

Bilstein is too hard for me. I can't take it.

I agree with you on the part on meimei coils.
