Expertz 1st Gear March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 a word of caution, i've bought the 4450 and playing videos off usb thumbdrives is problematic the videos must be encoded at super low res to be able to run properly. even at ultra low resolutions sometimes the video just hangs and reboots my previous china made player was able to play these videos without problems. i'm talking about 40mb mtvs not 400mb episodes on normal VGA resolutions the player will pay fine for 30s then it'll hang, report that no usb device detected, then detects a usb drive and finally reads the drive and replays the video that means you get 30s of playtime then have to wait another 30s for the video to cycle itself again i believe it must be an out of memory issue, not sure if a firmware update can fix this problem but if the 8450 has the same hardware internals, you most certainly won't be able to take advantage of the higher resolution ↡ Advertisement 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I can only hope the 8450 has a better hardware considering the price premium. Heh, can share about the interface.... iphone integration ?? He agreed to give a better price but depending on the number of units. The price he quoted for one set is SGD850. So MO price should be less lor.... Any way, I am consolidating to negotiate a MO price, No obligations, but if you are interested, please leave down your nick and I'll pm you once the unit arrives. No obligations. Any positive comments ? i didn't buy the iphone connector, its $70 off ebay so i'm just going to continue using a usb thumbdrive besides, bluetooth audio is great and you can forward tracks via bluetooth. the audio that comes out sounds great, the interface looks very good too i have been having an issue with my set, it'll automatically switch to radio every now and then. not sure what is the problem also regarding my previous comment, it might be the video codec too, perhaps i was using a codec that wasn't very well supported? i am not sure to be honest Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
