I will be surprised if the white shirt guy (friend of the red shirt driver) who threw the first punch is "untouched" by the law.

UPDATED (28 March Wednesday, 7:20 pm)

Police have arrested two men who assaulted a driver of a Ferrari outside Orchard Towers earlier this week.

In a post on its Facebook page on Wednesday evening, the police said the duo will be charged in court on Thursday for rioting.

They are also investigating the involvement of the driver and his passenger in the incident.

A video that went viral on Tuesday showed a group of youths beating up the Ferrari driver outside Orchard Towers, then leaving him lying on the street.

According to various media reports, the driver, who seemed to be in his 40s to 50s, was challenged by a youth -- who was with his girlfriend -- when they were nearly hit by the driver.

Based on the video posted on citizen journalism website Stomp, the aggravated youth swore and made a rude gesture at the driver, while his girlfriend tried to restrain him.

The driver then stepped out of his black Ferrari and confronted the youth, throwing the first punch at the latter.

But five more youths almost immediately ganged up on the driver and started punching and kicking him.

The man appeared to surrender by stepping back, but the youths continued attacking him until he fell face down on the floor.

The fight, which lasted less than a minute, came to an end when the girlfriend of the first youth intervened and stopped them.

Stomp said that Shaun, who was among those who submitted a video of the incident to the website, said that the video has been sent via email to the police.

Very likely. Those who were caught will face the full extent of the law.

If you are rich you can sue anyone you like, you can become a great roti prata chef. Just like the recent case where the girl without license drink and drive and kill and jail. While the cleopatra Lexus enjoy her life without jail when she kill as well.

In today's mercenary world, it seems becoming.

Hence, I do not measure a person's value based on his financial strength but his moral strength to determine if such a person is worthy of association.

The world seemed to have changed to the extent that more are becoming morally weaker despite their increasing financial strength. It is becoming common to see more who are unashamed to yearn for prominence as an elite unlike elites of the past who don't appear to have such yen.

In the same token, there appear to be less respectable philanthropists like Tan Tock Seng, Tan Chin Tuan and their like who are common in the old days.

Hopefully, the tweaked education system will improve the civilization of future generations.

Have a nice day! [wave]

Well said! [thumbsup] But unfortunately few people in Sg think this way....far too few.

Turbocharged

How come the guy who almost knock someone down, "lai lai lai" and threw first punch didn't get arrested as well?

Got. When he got floored by the group and didn't get up, he took the chance to get a rest, so he is 'a rested'.

Why the youth is wrong, I though the driver action first

They need to handle this case very carefully before it got out of their hands.

I see a scuffle turns into a group assault,

I also felt there is some racism in the attack.

The driver shld be punished, though not by the vicious assault.

The attackers shld also be punished, if not, then there is no more Law.

Yup, but it is too sensitive to be mentioned. So everyone just focus on the

bad behavior driver.
