TS is nice but FC no good. For this price, I rather get a 07 WRX...plenty of them selling outside.

I am driving the same TS model, manual transmission.

 

Fantastic handling but slow acceleration.

 

If you don't rev the TS too hard, say less than 3000 rpm for most of the time, can get an average FC of 12km per litre (tracked with a spreadsheet for 1.5 years already).

 

But do check the reverse gear to see whether it is easy to engage. When I bought mine, the reverse gear is not able to engage directly from neutral, but this can be overcome by shifting into 1st gear then reverse gear.

 

Overall, a good ride. Enjoy testing the TS!

 

I used to drive a TS too... the cockeyed model.. FC also around 12km/l... and also the same problem with the reverse gear... heard its a common problem with Subaru (then)...

 

If you have a comparison car, then get the FIT (for relax relax driving) or get WRX if affordable (for fun driving)... TS is just neither here nor there... sad to say...

No doubt, WRX price is attractive, but the insurance, mainteance, FC or other misc charges can kill u lolz. Math up your sum of the car expenses as a packages and not just the machine price.

My W FC is abt 7-8 also with quite heavy foot. I heard some TS FC is just slightly better than W, but the power between W and TS is huge. W is a fun car to drive.

Actually , if any wrx owners were to keep it as stock as possible .theres nothing really scary about the fc .it doesnt differs that drastic from the ts.

the scary thing that puts many off from buying one , is the insurance.

not true leh. wih 50% ncd, someone paid $1300++ for compre ins, I am sure any 2 L car you will pay like $900. For the extra $400 the pull and sound of the boxer are priceless.
