Michael Bay have a lot to learn from Joss Whedon.

 

Both movies had big battle scenes featuring multiple heroes. One was a confusing mess, the other still let you know who was doing what despite the chaos.

captain america always more of a leadership figure instead of the muscle. he's always described as "peak human physique", nothing more. notice how he gave the fighting role to hulk, iron man and thor.

Tony Stark is too arrogant to be the man, IMHO. Like Phil said, you still need some old fashion!

 

For me, the man was Phil! Committed and dedicated to the end! He's my hero, as he didn't have any suoerpowers or supersuits or demi God immortality and yet he stood up to the wussy Loki, who if doesn't have any demi God powers would just be a biitch in a prison.

I don't know if it's intended but Ironman came off as the hero of the show. Although guai lan and all that, he stepped up when needed. It's not just delivering the nuke but also fixing the helicarrier. I also loved his comment about cutting the wire rather than falling on it. This shows he can think rather than just dumbly follow rules.

 

Agent's death was a bit cliche. Reminds me of Galaxy Quest.
