Selling car, agents do paperwork?

Hi all,

 

For the transfer of car, my dealer requested to have my IC to be kept with them during the process of doing the paper work. I checked with my car agent and she said that it is the norm. Is it actually safe to let the car dealer keep our IC?

 

Any advise?

Nowadays, it is so easy to sell-buy 2nd hand car. No need to let a third-party earn your hard-earned money so easily.

last year, i sold my car to an agent, but didn't gave my IC neither they requested. I signed some forms for transfer that's all i did.

Hi all, i just posted my car for sale in sgcarmart. received 2 sms from some agents who say they will give me 2% of the buyer's bank loan if i let them handle the paperwork.

anyone tried before? seems like a good deal!
