That's exactly what I thought too when I saw that article. Those ah tiongs were imported to suppress wages but now it seemed to have backfired. Maybe not so serious yet but the signs are beginning to show. Let's face it, how is anyone going to survive with a miserable $1.2k in this high-prices-on-everything environment. Necessities like transport, food and utility are ever increasing. There is only so much a commoner can absorb. Only the millionaire bosses are the ones who are happy with low wages. Nobody else is.
