MP is reclaime land right?? shouldnt it be easier.. erm.. wait reclaimed land huh?? better dont touch sweatdrop.gif

hmmm.....Most of the Thomson-East Coast Line underground stations will be digging into reclaimed lands...Bay South, Tanjong Rhu, Bayshore, Marine Vista..

With today's constuction known-how, shouldn't be a challenge at all.

Yeah..those beautiful mature trees that once lined Marine parade way has been sacrifised to make way for road detours.

Same practice LTA had for on-going  Downtown Line 3 projects that need digging into existing roads like this Kallang Bahru st.

So, the shaded darker portion is the entire MRT station, with strategic exit points, at PP and the blocks?

The light brown stretch will be underground shopping area in between Marine Terrace to Marine Parade. Easy access and breeze walk from people staying from Telok kurau, Still road and East coast

Hear hear of future plans for mp estates. If can hold, don't sell your hdb.

Most of the HDB flats are around 40years old...

Maybe SERS coming ?

But will need another nearby land to build enough new hdb blocks to house these ppl ...

Hmm ...

Siglap South is a Gerrymandering name. The original Siglap CC @ Palm Drive in Siglap itself was renamed Siglap South CC. And the name Siglap CC was given to another CC located in in Bedok South. Where got meaning ? Might as well call the future Siglap MRT Station - Pulau Ubin. After all, its all part of the bigger East Coast GRC

Didn't know there was a Name-The-Station poll from LTA.

Here's Mr Brown's take...

Don't tell me they want to build more HDB ?

Where still have places? Unless SERS existing blocks .... Or reclaim more land?

Ok, let's wait for more news ....

Anyway, either way will mean more appreciation of prices in D15 :)

Dont think there is any vacant land near marine parade area, if they SERS the flats there, should move towards chai chee/bedok area? But no one can guarantee even your flats is around 40 years old will be SERS la, you can still find so many hdb flats more than 40 years old and still not SERS.

Still have many places to build more HDB lo. There are many brand new hdb town coming up in future, like tengah, bidadari and simpang etc.

That is the mentality of the older generations which have some truths to them.

No matter what grouses we have for the government, credit goes to them for giving us the confidence that they will not let an estate degenerate into a slump. So 40-50yrs is about time that they need to take action.

So they say HDB is 99yrs leasehold...in actual fact is freehold if they count on SERS being a given and if they keep voting for PAP.
