Driving WRX if stock, use back stock clutch. or the normal exedy round clutch. if u use super single, twin plate or those with a few pluck, the gbox cant tahan, will piang anytime. 20G 1st Gear November 28, 2012 Share November 28, 2012 can still use those clutch but there is a risk. with 6sp gbox, nothing to worry. i was only trying to be funny wif my 1st post to u. using single/ twin/ triple plate clutch will not kill the gearbox, the high torque does. but then again, the engine will go first before the gearbox if the torque is too much for the car to handle, this is esp so for wrx. the car is only as strong as the weakest link. lastly, using exedy organic clutch is a big mistake. though it can hold up to 500+ torque, the clutch feel.is simply terrible. whole car will judder real badly even after the clutch is ran in. lol Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If I recall correctly his car is around 320 whp, not bhp... which translates to quite a bit more than 320 bhp? 20G 1st Gear November 29, 2012 Share November 29, 2012 hmm few of my friends wrx, gbox die before engine, all with only sti turbo. even workshop say those clutch can destory the 5sp. exedy organic is the round face? if yes, it will not judder, it those exedy with a few legs than will judder badly. hmm.. i had vf34 on my 1st gda. was using stock clutch and holding well. other kakis had bigger turbos and running wif those ice cream clutch. so far so gd. my side so far nobody changed gearbox bcoz of failure b4, only change bcoz of itchy backside. then my turn backside itchy go and change organic clutch on my following gdb. wa.. car felt like disintegrating everything clutch is release esp 1st gear. my frens wif 3 or 6 pucks one not too bad. ↡ Advertisement Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
