Currently on S2, contract already end. Either go for S4 or Sony Z.

the problem is Sony phone has lower resale value compared to Samsung.

I'm more keen on S3 'cos S4 seems just like a S3 enhanced. Maybe once I got the chance to play with it I might be wooed by it.

As for Sony Z, I saw it a few days ago in HK when the sales person intro it to me. It seems impressive but I still have bad memories from those phones during the Sony Ericsson's days, so I'm still a bit skeptical about it.

I can only change my ip4 when my contract is up in Oct this year....... -_-

Rumours say in June-August and will be available in different colours (First for IP) just like the IPod Touch. And will also utilize the new IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) screen

HP releasing models every year to tempt people into changing their phones unnecessarily [;)]

I think the build quality of samsung is not great but should be able to last 2 yrs bah.

Anyway resale value makes a difference. Traded in my ip4 for $250 after 2 yrs. If buy xperia Z etc will have much poorer resale value?

Turbocharged

These are the 2 things that i like from the S4.

Air Gesture

Pushing boundaries with the S IV, it seems that Samsung has integrated Kinect-like functionality into the phone. A wave of your hand over the phone can switch between web pages, play next song, view photos, scroll up/down and the like. A nifty feature especially while driving, or waiting for nail polish to dry.

Another noteworthy feature is the ability to use the touch screen with gloved fingers, a first in mobile phones. So now you can eat with both hands while scrolling through web pages with your elbow in long sleeves. We'll leave it to you to imagine more ways to use this feature.

And not to mention, it still retains the user removeable battery and microSD card slot, which isn't available on HTC One.

Ya no doubt S4 got the most advanced features compared to the rest, have to give them that.

But the HTC's design and aluminium body is woo hoo....

The truth is, how much will one use the S4 'advance' features, I still prefer IP cos of the excellent battery life, smooth and easy to use and not alot of such 'novelty' features [laugh]

My SGS2 one year+ got cracks on the front 'glass' and 2 large cracks on the thin piece of back plastic already, not factoring in how much it hang/the poor battery life compare to my IP4.

For me, the user replaceable battery is a deal breaker, especially since i have lots of construction site/shipyard work, where using an external charger is simply not feasible.
