Spiderman302 2nd Gear May 27, 2013 Share May 27, 2013 Saw the write up in my paper abt more owners now keep the car till 10 yrs then scrap. That I understand why. BUt it mentioned abt lots of people scrap the car one month before 10 years. Anyone can help explain why? What is the difference between scrapping on the dot at 10yrs vs one month before 10yrs is up? ↡ Advertisement
Mits_jc 5th Gear May 27, 2013 Share May 27, 2013 Scrap on the dot, u do not get any of the COE rebate, which by then shouldn't be that significant. Tcx607 4th Gear June 10, 2013 Share June 10, 2013 How fast can the document done up by LTA (scape the car)? 1-2hrs? IF I do not renew my COE upon 10yrs expiry, I still get my paper value right (a few days after COE expiry)....
Cluboxed 1st Gear June 10, 2013 Share June 10, 2013 i think there is a grace period within which you need to renew your COE if you wish to continue driving the car...else it should be eligible for PARF...
Kangadrool Supersonic June 10, 2013 Share June 10, 2013 (edited) i think there is a grace period within which you need to renew your COE if you wish to continue driving the car...else it should be eligible for PARF... 1 month IIRC, but there's a penalty. But to get back PARF, you die die must potong kereta before expiry date; there is no grace period. Edited June 10, 2013 by Kangadrool
