Astrotech Neutral Newbie July 18, 2013 Share July 18, 2013 Earlier this year, for the very first time in SG Carmart’s history, Hüper Optik International organized a massive give away of up to $9,500 worth of window film vouchers.THE WINNERSHere are some of the winners for this competition.Top Prize Winner Kurt, happiest of the lot. The winner of the top prize, a $2,000 voucher for Hüper Optik window films, was Kurt Goh. Kurt was chosen amongst 647 correct entries. Worthy effort, Kurt!Coming in very close at second place was Michael. Michael did the installation of his Hüper Optik window films on his car at the ASTROTECH ENGINEERING office. Astrotech Engineering Pte Ltd is the authorized automotive dealer for Hüper Optik window films in Singapore.Astrotech Engineering is located at TCH Tech Centre along Toh Guan Road EastAstrotech Engineering Installer Yong Seng carrying out heat shrinking of the window film for the rear windscreen.Window film installation is by no means an easily acquired skill set. Due to the inherent complexity of the task, it takes at least 2 years of experience in tinting the car side windows before a typical Astrotech installer is deemed competent enough to start working on the front and rear windscreens. Yong Seng (pictured above), for example, has been with Astrotech for the past 5 years.Waterproofing the car interior- a critical step during installation. One of the finer touches of window film installation is waterproofing of the car interior. Cleaning fluid is used to prepare the window prior to installation of the window film. Astrotech Engineering installers are trained to ensure that vehicle upholstery and sensitive electronic equipment are adequately protected during window film installation.2nd place winner, Michael, with his freshly tinted car.Michael represents a very niche group of car owners who rely on independent research. Refusing to base their purchase decisions on popular trends, Michael and his group of friends invest time and effort to seek out car accessories that are often overlooked by the majority. Michael shares, “My adrenaline gets pumping whenever I locate a gem!” This led him to the discovery of the Hüper Optik brand of window films, which in his own words, is a “gem” and “a brand that specializes solely on window films”.Congratulations to all the winners of the contest! We are confident that you will truly benefit from the films’ excellent heat rejection and durability.ABOUT HÜPER OPTIK WINDOW FILMSRenowned for their patented multi-layer advanced Nano-Ceramic technology, Hüper Optik® Nano-Ceramic window films offer 3 Times More Infrared Heat Rejection Than Normal Dyed Films, 4 Times Less Visible Light Reflectance Than Mirrored Like Metallic Films, 13°C Cooler Compared With No Film and 25 Times More Durable Than Most Conventional Window Films in the market. Rainbow 1st Gear July 20, 2013 Share July 20, 2013 I used Huper Optik for 2 past cars which I owned for 3yr and 5yr each. The solar films are still very good and nice when I sold the cars. No obvious scratches or deteroriating glue. I like them very much. Being ceramic coated, it has a slight "hazy" tint (more prominent for the clear film), unlike most other films like vkool which has a slight metallic tint. No chance to try vkool on cars but i installed them on my home windows. Already 10 years. Condition is very good for their age but can see some very little parts on film edges appearing "tarnished" (probably due to moisture). Not fair comparison for sure, but just want to share my little experience. But for my new house, i would try huper optik.

Astrotech Neutral Newbie August 19, 2013 Author Share August 19, 2013 Hey there Beyondaction, Both brands, V-Kool and Huper Optik, harness the heat rejection properties of different base materials . V-Kool have very good metallised films. They are praised for having very good heat rejection. Huper Optik's films are nano-ceramics based. Huper Optik films are praised for excellent durability (no corrosion, no de-colourising, backed by 10 year manufacturer's warranty), with very good heat rejection. Hope this helps, please do not hesitate to let us know if you would like to discuss in more detail! Thanks!
