Bluepica 4th Gear November 3, 2017 Share November 3, 2017 For trading in the car, do they look into the condition of the car? Mine is less than a year coe left, SE said only give back scrap value to me.... so does it matter if I remove from my car whatever that can be salvage? (Eg. Sell my rim/tires, put on a very old tires) ↡ Advertisement

D3v1LmAn69 2nd Gear November 3, 2017 Share November 3, 2017 Hi bros who already got new arrive. 1st time to me, want to check COE secured 19/10. Trade in old ride.SE ask me come down make balance payment. Said targeting register on 17/10. New ride arrived Question 1. targeting register 17/10. Sound unsure, is that mean trying register wth LTA only n if success plate will b out?. If fail, re target new date? 2. What is the procedure. Payment made liao, register, get car. How long all these take after sucessful register 3. Trade in old ride. Believe they will not offset trade in sgd10k wth balance payment right cos CnC n Republic.2 entity 4. Anythinv i need to specially take note? Need all bros advice Tq I think the LTA registration for (random) number plate will be successful, unless you paying over $1k to bid nice number. You will need to sign a form to indicate if accept random allocated car plate number or go for bidding. After payment, SE need you to provide special PIN so they can transfer your current car to become theirs. Will need your Singpass to access onemotoring.com, request for the PIN, they will send you in hardcopy few days later. You can bring down the hardcopy to SE, or take a snapshot of PIN clearly with your name then send to SE. If your car color has ready stock, after payment, 2-3 wks should be able to collect. After LTA registration, car need to queue up for installing whatever accessories SE gave you and do testing/checks on car functions/features. Your balance payment should have factored in the 10k trade-in plus 10k deposit. For e.g Car price: 100k (after all discounts and rebates) Bank loan: 70k Downpayment: 30k Full Settlement of prev car loan: 7k (AD help you settle prev car loan first) So now you owe AD: 30k + 7k = 37k Refund your 10k deposit: 37k - 10k = 27k Agreed 10k* trade-in: 27k - 10k = 17k You pay AD 17k to complete balance payment. This does not include car insurance. *Very important. SE may 'forget' this value and state a lower value based on your car's ongoing depreciation. This 10k trade-in amount must be written in the sales agreement and stays regardless of COE price increase or how long AD takes to secure your COE. Potential delay of car delivery can be caused by many factors, including: - accidental bumps during car unloading at port or from warehouse to collection point. - no stock of accessories - faults found during final testing before deliver to customer

Hi , i think his car price should be (91k-12k) $79k , trade in car at scrap value 7k+. So final price he paying is 71k++
teomingern Supercharged November 4, 2017 Share November 4, 2017 Hi , i think his car price should be (91k-12k) $79k , trade in car at scrap value 7k+. So final price he paying is 71k++ This sounds reasonable... topping up $3000 is probably prudent now if you really must have the car... also it's quite clear that COE will increase... the only question is what is the quantum? Also... if you top up $3000 now for a guaranteed COE, you may or may not get the COE in the next round cos you have 3 more bids... but depending on how the bidding goes, C&C may want to clear as many of the this backlog of orders cos these were all ordered on low pricing with the assumption that no policy changes were coming... now that LTA drop the 0% growth bombshell... they will have drastically revise their pricing strategy... all in all... seems wise to top up... This is my analysis lar... might be totally off though... ha ha...

D3v1LmAn69 2nd Gear November 5, 2017 Share November 5, 2017 Hi everyone, My agent just msg me to top up to g-bid (additional 3k) for the upcoming biddings. Shld I or shld I not? Need advice from you guys here. Thanks. Consider the scenario where you decided not to top up. COE really shoots up, AD can't secure after 6 bids, apologize and return you $10k deposit. What is your next plan? Re-book the car or go to another AD? If COE increases, car list price will increase too so you may not get the price that you'd booked earlier even after rebates. If you have a car for trade-in, the longer you wait the lower the value is. Regardless of which AD you approach they may consume it at minimum scrap value. The last resort is to keep your current ride and renew COE. Likely you can save over $30k compared to getting new car. COE trend is likely to increase but unlikely to go up by 15k over next few biddings. Before it hits $50k perhaps renewing COE is still considered an (unwelcomed) option. From straitstimes online 24Oct'17: "The LTA also said yesterday that there will be fewer COEs available for all vehicles except motorcycles for the November to January quota period." Quota is expected to be lower than the average of 1800 over past 3 months. How low we do not know. Average bids received past two biddings is 2600. Low supply and high demand will push up COE, ADs likely will try clear out the g-bids by securing on first or second bid. If I were you, will 'invest' $3k to ensure the new car is secured and be done with this nasty business. Why? If I don't do it, others will and they will get more priority, reducing my chances. As long as I am working, $3k can be recovered while enjoying a new ride for next 10yrs max. Assume I drive 5yrs and sell away, $3k over 5yrs is extra $50/mth. Dudes spend more than this on cigarettes-booze and Toto-4D ! Decrease in quota will allow ADs exploit this opportunity by asking buyers to top up to g-bids or even increase the g-bit amount to >4k... that's a disaster. GravityBlue 4th Gear November 6, 2017 Share November 6, 2017 That said 3k sounds a tad high though, unless the COE prices really moved from whence he signed up for it. Hi, i feel 3k sounds reasonable , as at the time of booking , coe is 36k. Subsequently coe trended to 42.9k , 41.7k , 41.6k . Its an increase of min 5.1k. After topping up 3k , in fact he still "earn" 2.1k , so its a steal. Of course he can try his luck by hanging onto the 6 N.G. , but very likely will end up being refunded.
