Hi,

I plastidipped my rims. I am not a do-it-yourself person but it is really easy. You just have to clean the rims thoroughly before spraying Plasti Dip.

Did you check DipYourCar videos?

You do not take much risk. It is not very expensive.

I was more concerned about using Plasti Dip on the body of my car. I feared it might damage the original paint underneath.

I will rather you spray paint or sticker your ride. It's a bitch when removing the Plastic-dip.

thx for the info

is it really like peeling off centimeter per centimeter?

it's not like you get hold of a little part and slowly remove a big chunk?

It really depends on how thick the sprayer sprayed. When I peeled off the plastic-dip on my grill, I literally rubbed the surface with my fingers till they blistered.

Anyone done plastidip on your rims so far and does it really last?

Thinking of letting some guys in Carousell to do the plastidip for the rims so not sure whether it is worth or should I DIY?

Bro I recommend you to diy if you are able to do it, if you can do properly then why not? Save labour cost as well only need buy the plastidip

Another method, if your rims are stock rims that are plain, go change to a glossy sporty rim that look cool

Alternatively you can go workshops to do as well

Personal preference basically

Cheers

Thanks brother, my rim is stock and I do not want to change to another type of rim just for the glossy look as stock alloy rim is the best when going Malaysia.

I will recommend you not plasti-dip it as removal is a bitch.

Rather you spray paint the stock rims instead.

I see, any recommended workshop to get it done with good workmanship?

Used to go to Yas Spray when I did that in stock wheels for my previous ride.
