Bro, is there any coating or solution to help rather than washing every week ?

Hey bro Kasiao, I have been asking myself that question pretty often but if brake dust can etch through metal surface than I don't think any kind of coating can prevent it from happening. I believe coating can help to prolong the washing interval but seriously doubt it can prevent.

Maybe just to add, there is a very big difference between performance pad and normal brake pad. The dust from performance pad is very corrosive and prolong exposure will damage the rims. Most of the Japanese and Korean cars will not have this problem, just like my old Latio, I only washed the car once or twice a year and all the brake dust came right out after washing.

PPS do offer rim coating solutions. Can go explore. Still have to wash, but maybe protect from corrosion.

But let's say u buy a new ride and don't like the stock rims, go ahead and let the dust settle, 5yrs later change rims LOL

Like that than you have to rotate the rims regularly, otherwise the front 2 rims look very black and the rear 2 rims look very clean

Thanks bro for the info. I understand just that lazy to go wash every week. Hahaha. Thought of doing some coating to prolong the washing cycle.

my previous car also Latio. Wash once a year before CNY. Haha.

I bought my short antenna from Aliexpress. Same as bro 3668 mentioned, reception only slightly affected only in MSCP.

Received a new pair of wipers from Aliexpress yesterday and fitted on this morning. Just like original but need to wait for rain to check out the quality. If it can last for 1 yr I'm happy.

Quick feedback on the wipers. AVOID! Squeaking like mad. Terrible. Swapped back to my old wipers for now.

Have not encountered this nor heard of this from fellow T9 owners so far.

Took my 1yr old 308SW to Genting (4adults+2kids). With the hill assist function, going up the steep mountain road is easy and fun (no need down gear manually). Along the NS highway, the car reach 150Km/h easily without u noticing. At that speed, the car is still very stable (with 18" rims)& Wind noise also not that bad (radio volume set at 10 @ average speed 130km/h). Its a very good performance car.

I'm surprised you can squeeze 4+2 pax into the car! To my understanding hill assist is not for driving up or down slopes. The function is to prevent roll-back when moving the car from a stationery position.

Anybody have any comment for leather seat provided by AF?

To me, the leather doesn't feel quality enough, and there is squeeze sound between driver seat and the center console rest arm.

All these "leather" you get in Singapore are simulated leather.

Ask for retaining of original factory fabric seats for $800 off. See if you like it or not. If don't like, can always change outside using Nappa leather, can choose your choice colour also.

Frankly the French made very good car seats. Don't spoil it unnecessarily. Try sitting/driving for > 3 hours on Japanese car and French car, you'll know.

Going for a test drive 308sw. Can someone kindly pm se zahn's number? Tks

I got my 208 from Mandy (98583161). After sale service is fantastic. Though after 6 month, she is still very helpful and responsive to text messages..

I will like to give some update after trying Ron 95 petrol for 1 full tank. The very obvious difference I felt is the smoothness in term of the gear change. With the 95, the gear change was pretty obvious which I did not really notice with the previous 2 full tank of 98. After switching back to 98, the jerk from the gear change became less obvious and after the second tank of 98, the improvement is more obvious. Millage wise there is not much difference between the 95 and 98. After this short "experiment", I decided to stick with Ron 98.

Btw, managed to clock a "new record" for my 308, 80% highway/20% city.
