Yjchan shortlisted outlander and fna presumably for interior space (which has to be better than vezel and civic). Supposing budget is no more than 140k now, the other jap suv from AD could be the 2.0 cx5. I sat in the rear of one earlier and it did not feel cramped to me. Its wheelbase on paper is longer than the other 2 mentioned here. And cx5 is a new model. While not awd, its power and handling do not pale much. And it is a gd looking car. Of course, best is to bring the lot to test ride and drive.

As for fxt, i know of people who are wary of its "excessive" power which is seen by some as overkill on local roads as they do not head north. Some are worried that their family members cannot handle or control the "beast" in it as they share their car. This despite fna and fxt cost diff was about 16k at one time in 2017. To them, its not the $ but perhaps rather they hv "no need" for the power which they see as frills or maybe not even "gd to have". The impression that its thirst is horrendous also dun help.

Diff strokes for diff folks !

If its the 2.0 base outlander and fna, i feel that overall space in the former should still be better. E.g. the former's transmission tunnel feels lower and while the 3rd row is often quite useless, when folded its practical value is enhanced. Wheelbase is also a tad longer in outlander. Power diff is likely gonna be negligible. Outlander engine sounds rough and struggles to get to speed, unlike fna which is very smooth. Handling should be better in fna due to awd and less metal bulk. Fc wise, likely fna more thirsty due to awd and heavier weight. Subaru has generally improved much over the years but i dun feel its the case for mitsu. At 10k cheaper, fna presents a worthy case for itself, one that has awd and niceties like electric seats and big sunroof.

I top up about 50 litre of ron 95 each tank. Manual fc is 10 km per litre. Only at 2500 km. Quite lightfooted still. Frankly the fc pleasantly surprises me. After tales of fc of 6 to 7 for fxt of past on 4AT. Maybe the cvt does the magic. I dunno but i am not complaining as yet !!

I'm looking video recording at parking mode, power magic pro or cellink b. From review seems like cellink b is preferred. However the price is really ex, especially the newer Neo version with Bluetooth capability. Anyone using the product for your blackvue?

I am using the cellink neo with dr750-2ch installed since day 1. My ride is 3 weeks now and no complaint and the battery is doing its job well.

Driving the FXT for a month. The "excessive" power works wonderfully for the morning ride sending the kids to school. Thirsty only for start/stop condition. Overall average 10km/l (based on the dashboard) on 95.

Installed by MI. I asked for the upgrade and paid $348. There is a current promotion by blackvue.

Did you request for the upgrade before you received your car?

Currently have the DR430 and it's been a pain to take the sd-card out of the unit to view video when needed.

Was thinking of upgrading as well, but unsure if I can get back anything for my 1 year old DR430 now.

Btw, is the blackvue 750S or the 650 the better model?

I assume the higher model number is but unsure what the differences are.

I am also on dr430. freebie from SE. I stupidly did not ask which blackvue model during nego. After signing agreement, then i found out. Cant top up to upgrade anymore. Thus far, i only had to view the footage once. Compare to those with wifi feature, of course it is mafan as u hv to open the side cover, remove the sd card, plug usb card reader into pc to view. I guess it is generally a gd thing if no need to view often. Haha. So still tolerable to me for now. Resolution in general still ok for me. I am a tech idiot and not sure abt the impact of adjusting the cam settings like sensitivity etc. So i left them as they were. Lest it cock up after my magic fingers handles them. Haha

i will next try out if ron 98 gives better roi in terms of fc. And later if S mode does or not. I am on ron 95 and I mode now which gets me 10 km per lit. Vaguely read in earlier posts that some got marginally better fc with S mode ! Boring topic on fc i know. Haha.

I suppose you are not using the Bluetooth version? That alone cost 380(original price) already.
