1) That's the manual mode. Not sports mode.

4) ECU reset should always be done by C&C during the first 5 yrs, else your warranty is void.

1) My SE told me shift to the right is sport mode, and i also tried during test drive L model.. tends to be more torque due to gear shift at higher rpm.

Shift gear stick to the right is manual mode.

Lets you manually shift the gears 1-6 at the desired RPM.

So it create a placebo effect like more power cos you dragged and changed gears at a higher rpm instead of ECU trigger during auto mode.

Sports mode is a press on button on the right side of gear panel whereby you can choose ECO/NORMAL/SPORTS.

Regards,

On my SX, the button toggles between Eco and Comfort

Push the gear knob on the right (from D) and you get Sports mode. The screen on instrument cluster displays “S Sport” and it is still an automatic mode. You can override the gears manually or just leave the car to shift automatically

This is not a placebo effect, you do get a bit more torque at higher rev. In the opposite, you do get better FC staying at lower rev. The Eco / Comfort / Sport alters the gear shifts to give one or the other

Engine warranty is 10 yr so no tampering with ECU during that period

Nope, you can't toggle to Sports mode just by pressing the button, need to shift the gear to the right.

Seems like there's a change in the way Sports mode is accessed in the new SX... kind of makes sense... you want some manual control in Sports mode, no?

Turbocharged

You don't need to tamper with the ECU to void the 10 year engine warranty.

A simple act like bringing your own engine oil to C&C (and you also need to pay a $30 cockage charge) will void your engine warranty.

Don't believe? Call C&C to clarify.

Any work done by outside WS will effectively void the warranty.  It can be electrical, engine etc .... So you make the decision.

Normal servicing, like replacing wear n tear parts, oil changes etc can safely be done by external workshops. Just need to document properly what's been done/replaced. This will not void warranty.

But anything faulty in engine, gear, drive train, electrical etc will still safer to go back CnC, That's what the warranty are for.

Yep. When I went to test drive, I remembered SE told me to get to sports mode need to shift gear stick to the right. Manual mode is triggered only only when u start pushing up & down (+ / -).

The mode button is only for Eco or Normal selection.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

sports mode or whatever doesn't matter, its either just dropping the gears or dragging the gears to let you feel the pull in the pick up.

not as if the car hp will be increased from 130hp to 200hp anyway.

I was told Komoco uses Shell 5W30 for all servicing now.

Is CnC still on 5W40 ?
