Anyone used this oil before? Got a bottle from a friend planning to use it for my next oil change. Anyone know how much workshop will charge for oil change and oil filter change (using my own engine oil). Thanks Guys! [;)]

My Brick was fed with Esso Ultron during the warranty period servicing at SM Motors, no complains about it. Protected my turbo charged brick well for the first two years.

Also heard that SPC's Synace is formulated by Esso so have similar properties as Esso Ultron [;)]

ATF shipment delayed again [mad] I also need an ATF change soon [:/]

0% financing from Volvo is for the first year only and in the form of cash rebate, just a gimmick IMHO

I'll sort out the ATF ASAP, I also desparately need an ATF change soon [:/]

Oil catch can more suited for track use and it's actually meant for catching the oil blown out from the crankcase emissions hose meant for recirculation in the intake.

That's all about marketing.... basically... packaging things in a way that "appears" attractive.... but when u unscramble everything.... it's just the same....

Gear oil require changing too but has longer intervals. I suppose 60-100k per change is the norm depending on the make and model of the car.

I'll recommend Mobil 1, Redline or AMSOIL Syn Gear oils. Syn oils last longer and have better thermal tolerances and breakdown resistance, that'll save your gearbox lots of wear [;)]

actually for my old big backside corona I used Royal Purple Engine oil and the ATF. It is much cheaper (same grade spec as the others).. I see also a remarkable reduction in fuel comsumption..

BTW, what if I am still under the warranty from C&C, do I need to go back to them for normal maintenance?

Also hoi... what is an ATF cooler? [:p]

Does any of these or other mod actually make the performance of the torque convertor better (my kia torque convertor sucks! once you take a turn it will be stuck as 2000 rpm no matter how hard you hit the accelerator!). [shocked]

Thanks in advance!

Some claim RP to be semi-syn but I've used it before and it's actually on par with the familiar big brands.

ATF cooler is placed between your auto tranny oil sump and stock cooler to enhance the ATF cooling and prolong ATF longevity.

Changing the torque convertor is a big job and require lotsa homework....unless there's an aftermarket high stall torque convertor that matches your car.
