Hi Mitlan,

Speedworks carry K & N & the price is very reasonable (or relatively cheaper than most places). If it's those drop-in (in replacement of the stock paper filter) than there's no need to go to a workshop to do it, it can be DIY sly.gif. If you are not too sure how to replace your stock filter with K & N, Mr. Loo of Speedworks can also do it for you wink.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

Sorry I don't know of any workshop in Jalan Kechil wink.gif

like what Prochem mention, it's best to use drop-in if your car is very mildly modded. You'll loose low end torque with open pod, which is good for high-end speed sly.gif If your car is auto, best is use drop-in else you'll discovered that the pickup is slower sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

Agreed. Using an open pod will lose you low rpm torque especially if you are driving an AT. But I countered this by fixing PowerJet which brings back my low rpm power between 1K and 2.5K.

Another thing to consider when using open pod, you'll need to prepare a proper heat shield to block off all the hot air inside the engine bay sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif I think if you add the PowerJet to a K & N drop-in filter, your response should be much better than the open pod sly.gifsly.gif

Yes,I get a better low response with the PowerJet. The other thing I did was to leave the bottom half of the air filter box intact so that my open pod is resting inside it. I am getting some cool air from the stock intake coming from the front of the engine. I plan to do some DIY heat shielding around the open pod.
