Mash4077 Neutral Newbie November 11, 2003 Share November 11, 2003 Hi. It's not a DIY job. Must take out the header to be cleaned, and the ceramic coating applied. Had it done at Alfa City at Sin Ming.
Throttleb Neutral Newbie November 11, 2003 Share November 11, 2003 Try Thermotec to wrap. Im using that. The reduction is heat is substantial in feeling. Powerwise, I hardly even noticed. In another car that was ceramic coated, the heat was still present so we had it theromotecced on top of that.

Throttleb Neutral Newbie November 13, 2003 Share November 13, 2003 very minimal in many cases.. at most it should be like driving at night when you drive on hot day. My take is NOT to wrap all the way but just up to down pipe becos u need it flow by heat transfer from hot to cold so gases will flow faster... if u wrap all the way to CAT, its HOT all the way. The CAT is usually hottest part of exhaust system.. U using the same nick in AROC?
Chayyh Neutral Newbie November 13, 2003 Share November 13, 2003 sorry hor bro..ask stupid question.. i tot gas flow is from cold to hot..dense to less dense.. might be wrong. but that's not my main question. where to get this themal wrap har?
Throttleb Neutral Newbie November 13, 2003 Share November 13, 2003 the area that is wrapped will be hotter inside. u are actually containinh heat inside the exhaust. therfore ...hot air inside the headers flows faster than cold so will be expelled faster
