Turbobrick Neutral Newbie July 19, 2002 Share July 19, 2002 Most audio shops can custom fab a speaker holder for aftermarket speakers so the stock size doesn't really matter.

Koolaba 1st Gear July 20, 2002 Share July 20, 2002 Hi, Your friend's Civic should be able to take 5.25" or 6.5" speakers. You can visit the following site to see the listing of speakers which can be fitted: http://www.sounddomain.com/fit

Since your fren is a DIY guy, the best fool proof way is to open out the front speaker cover and measure the size of the midrange speaker. Hope that helps. Barbaricboon Neutral Newbie July 20, 2002 Author Share July 20, 2002 Thks for all the fast replies guys, i really appreciated it. well measuring the speaker size is the best way but he do not own the car yet. he is now in the states and he will only buy the car when he comes back which is abt 1-2 mth time. the website u provide is very informative but i think it is mainly for usa car model. cos usa honda civic ex is equivalent to the honda civic vti. but my friend is afraid that the interior also different too. well i think 5.25 should fit his car. thks a lots again!!!! Koolaba 1st Gear July 20, 2002 Share July 20, 2002 If possible try to get 6.5" front speakers for richer bass. Install a 5.25" if it really can't fit

Skoda_Man Neutral Newbie July 22, 2002 Share July 22, 2002 size of speaker is one thing. Another the the magnet size. If speaker magnet size is BIG, it could cause blockage and unable to install.
