K, guys, read abit on the threads with regards to Glare. Can anyone give me a good update as to whether the product is ok. I am getting alittle blue with all the different brands of car paint sealant.. [shakehead]

Has anyone with a black ride done it before? [dead]

hi hi, you might wish to check with Autocraze since he's tried it. So far he's happy with their services, i think. His ride is black.

Cheers!

Hi there,

I have been MIA from MCF for quite some time... Just happened to ponder upon ur thread today tongue.gif...

I'm on Glare since Oct 2003.. Attach are 02 close up pics I took of my black trek in May 04....so far so good...

My own opinion is it's beading effect is great, and the shine is kind of glass reflection (not watery shine like zaino)...

It is a sealant & primary objective is to protect paintwork from contaminants. It comes with it's own car shampoo & rapid action spray (detailer spray) which I think is good enough for wkly wash & shine...

I'll still stick on to glare on my next ride, but this time to top it up with a good wax. for a smoother paintwork maybe laugh.gif ...

Cheers!!!

do u guys see water spots after rain and not washing the car for a week? is the water spot easy to clean off?

my own experience is if heavy downpour, water beads off very easily...if it drizzles (i.e. like u sprinkle water onto the paintwork) , will have more water spots...

if kena a few days rain (like the past wk), will definitely have water spots but cleaning them is easy...however, I am usually more concern abt. the dirt stain building up at the lower portion of the ride...tats more difficult to clean than water spots...unimpressed.gif

a detailer spray will be handy.. just spray & wipe off after drying ride...if u still see water-spots, whch means u may have accidentally seal them in...

my black stream is on glare for 2 mths now. with the recent heavy and frequent downpour, when i wash my car, i notice water marks on the bonnet and roof. i use the glare shampoo to clean the car. i've to clean slightly harder on the water spot to remove it, but at least it can be removed. i'm just wandering if i do not wash the car for a long time, say 1 mth, can the water spots be removed still? not that i am lazy or what. sometimes i might be out of country.

for above, can try adding more shampoo...it could be a case of the shampoo water too dilute...

if say for 2 wks or more unable to wash, recommend u water spray (or jet spray) ride thoroughly 1st... for hdb MSCP, use a water-hose... afterwhich, rinse ride with a pail of shampoo water...let shampoo settles for abt. 2 mins or so... then proceed to wash ride with a new pail of shampoo...

and also, after drying ride, make it a practice to wipe ride with detailer spray (3 mins nia)...many brands available in the mkt...it helps to upkeep shine & remove any remaining water spots or mild stains tat u miss earlier while washing/drying....wink.gif
