Hi ,

 

Firstly, i really nice to have a technical resources where all the techincal stuff are being discuss and post here.. well done all bros here..

 

i need some help and maybe some of you here might here :p

 

i used to have a excel file that calculates the rev and speed by entering the gear ratio, final drive, tyre size etc... and it will give you the rev and speed ..

 

anyone here got the file to share ???

but one more q, how to convert the mph to Kph ??? :p

the variable mostly refer to paramters like 1-2-3-4-5 gear ratio, final drive , rim size, wheel, etc...etc

 

the speed/rev calcator is gd as it tell u wat rpm will you get for a certain speed, like at 5 gears at 100km/h my rpm is at XXX rev...

 

it also tells you that when rpm reach 7000rev, ur speed will be at yyy km/h.

 

 

u may ask y does one need to know this ? i myself find it useful when you wana down shift let say from 4th to ( 3rd or 2nd gear ) . You know where you rpm will hit when u down shift....

hope i dun confused u more. :p
