saw a recent spate of full page ads for the bridgestone GR80 tyres in torque magazine.

 

are they good? any comments?

You should find some discussion from a previous thread "Bridgestone GR80". After much consideration between GR80 & Yoko AVS db, I chose the latter. Price wise, Yoko is > $13/tyre. Moreover, Yoko comes with Traction (AA) & Temperature Rating (A). Now, I'm very satisfied with the tyres both in performance & quietness [:)]

Hi,

I've just put on 2 new Bridgestone GR80 on my car and it was perfectly sounded.

I would dare say that it was much quitier then have 4 Kumho tyres from KMC.

However, i strongly suggest to get in touch with Jtan as his price is reasonable.

For myself, i did not go to him as i went to a nearby tyre shop which i ended up got carrot head chop.

Bet Jtan can give you a better price and service.
