I sign up the package with them for my car which is 1.6 litre for $450 for 4 sessions comprehensive detailing, interior and exterior. I also sign up the their car wash package which is offered exclusively to memebers only at $60 for 12 washes, which includes tyre shine and vacuum. [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

Oh yeah! They use Autoglym or Zaino Bros products for the grooming.

So far the quality of work is better than others that i've tried. The detailing is really detail..... i mean they even remove the stain and dirt at my door sill to like brand new condition, most places will not pay attention to that. In addition, imagine paying $60 for 12 times of car wash that comes with interior vacuuming and tyre shine as well. that works out to $5 per wash. [thumbsup][thumbsup]

You can call Yong H/P : 9109 8219 for more details... Tell him you're from MCF, you should have some "special" package.... [lipsrsealed][lipsrsealed]

This afternoon I gave Yong a call to enquire his price for grooming my car.

Was told it would be $180.

We talked abit and I asked if I could send it to him at 12. He said no problem.

Sent in my car slightly after 12 and collected it at about 6pm.

When I went there, a girl was still touching up. My goodness, they actually spent 6 hours on my car!!!

I was invited to inspect the car. Went around touching here and there. My car looked better than when I first collected it 2 weeks ago.

Everywhere I could think of was cleaned and waxed. The car even smelled clean...

Definitely was very impressed and satisfied.

The girl tried to get me sign up for the package. At $540 for 4 sessions. Yong told her to give me 4 sessions if I sign up today, meaning today's session was free.

As I don't really trust small establishments like this, I declined. For peace of mind, I would rather pay a bit more each time than to pay a lump sum and worry whether the company would be around in the future.

By the way, I was given a 5% discount as I came recommended by MCF. You see, members do have their privilleges, especially at Groomworks.

Will most probably go back to Groomworks after 2 to 3 months later.

Groomworks seems to be the same shop that is open in Jalan tuakong in Siglap. They were once called autorised grooming center for autoglym and operate under autoglym brand name..... that was until some time this mid early this year where autoglm remove them as their grooming shop. That was when they change their name to groomworks. After removing them autoglym open their own grooming shop which is somewhere in siglap as well. They even send mailers to former member that the Jalan Tuakong shop is no longer operating under their franchies. There was some rumors on where autoglym cancel their contract

1. Customer complaining on their service ( By autoglym staff)

2. Autoglym selling the grooming product at a premium... so groomworks get it from other distributors which is cheaper... ( By groomworks staff)

3. Groomworks get into bad books of autoglym becos they started experimenting with zaino. So they got axe.

Anyway based on personal experirence... they are really detailed in their grooming service and does a good job before and after autoglym axe them. Only complaint b4 was their location. Have always got to make booking for grooming last time but donno about now. I purchase their package last year and still have 1 more service to go b4 it finishes.

As I understand the situation, Groomworks did not get axed. Groomworks decided to terminate their relationship with Autoglym.

Not sure which is correct but whatever the case may be, Groomworks is by far one of the best polishing places I have been too. No complaints at all about them. Not that they even have a branch at Maxwell, even better!!

Just dropped by Groomworks @ Jalan Tua Kong today to check out their prices. Yup, still the same at $150 for medium sized cars and the $450 yearly package. They've got Autoglym, Meguairs, and Zaino [including ZFX]. And yes, you can specify which products you want used on your car. Time taken should be around 3.5 - 4 hours. I asked them if they sell the Zaino products separately or not and they said "not yet". *shucks* [:p]

Do one time is $150 for medium car. Their package is 4 times per year at $450 for a medium sized car. Really depends on what kind of waxing you ask for...Autoglym, Meguairs, Zaino... all same price. [:p]
