Actually, JB rates are quite standard. RM 120 for I think 5 times. It works out to be RM20 per time or about S$10 which is quite reaonable not considering the travelling distance. Went in over the weekend, persuaded by one of them to sign on. But didn't becos my friend said should try out their workmanship on a single polish basis first. Didn't have time to do it so never sign on the dotted line. [:/]

The 'Cars' got their own waxing products. I was using from HK last time to here. And I like they put on 3 layers waxing and really clean!

Frankly, I knew them quite long from my first car in S'pore. So I've not worry my car leave it to them while go for shopping [nod]. Especialy at Holiday plaza, no idot came to me for money at carpark, since I just shout out, all of them will come to help me. That was happen 4yrs ago when my wife was at carpark and someone came to her, then Cars supervisor saw and came to pushed the guy out (actually they knew who is who in JB).

And while you're shopping, at least they won't put one more item in your car which out of your shopping list! If u try some shop like RM8, I think u must keep your eye on your car in every seconds. [thumbsup]

Are u talking about the area right across the road opposite Holiday Inn/Plaza? I went there before... think they got a good spot.... while we leave our car there... and go shopping.... we get free parking plus free security!!

I'll never park inside Holiday Inn/Plaza.... [shakehead] ... frankly... i would rather go Malacca then be in JB!! I mean... everything seems so packed in JB.... unlike in Malacca... more country feel. [nod]

The price is actually $180, but I was given a discount to pay only $170 since I was recommended by MCF. See, MCF membership has privilleges.

I know other grooming centres are offering much less than that price, but most of them require you to sign up their programmes. You end up paying nearly $600 to $700 for a year of grooming services. This arrangement is acceptable to me if I am sure the grooming centre is still around. What happens if it close shop? Who is going to refund me the unused sum? After weighing the pro and con, I decided to go for professional services like Groomworks. Actually, their price is much less than Autoglym's. In fact, it is comparable to other car groomers like Mobile 333.

It all boils down to whether you are risk adverse. I know I am. Thus I would rather pay a bit more than to worry for the rest of the year.

I am very pleased with Groomworks' standard. The shine is still visible on my car after so many weeks and encountering so many rainfall. Cleaning my car's exterior only requires a piece of 3M special cloth and a pail of water. No need to shampoo and wax. The grime, dirt, bird droppings, etc. are easily cleaned off. Autoglym products are really good.

Hi,

If I recalled correctly, this AA Polishing guy was previously on this forum for a while before suddenly disappearing after some questions were asked on his mode of operations...maybe got too busy with his business.

You can check out Groomworks at Maxwell/Tanjong Pagar as well, near to International Plaza.

You may want to consider trying out for a single polish first before signing on the package. Usually, can negotiate that you try out one polish, then if like the results, sign for the package and include that polish as the first one in the package.

Have been seeing quite a number of advertisements in car magazines lately from Autoglym promoting their polishing services. And also a red "Important Notice" stating that they have terminated their franchise with Groomworks on 20 Feb 02, therefore, stopping supply of Autoglymn pdts to Groomworks. It also states that Autoglymn will be the sole distributor of their own pdts and that there is only one Autoglymn car grooming centre in SIN.

Hi Assassin

You know that Autogylmn can state that they have only one grooming centre in SIN but they can't stop people from parallel importing "their products". As far as i'm concern, I don't care where the product is from so long as its Autogylmn that is used on my car and most inportantly the kind of quality service and of course results that I'm looking for.

Cheers!!! [;)][thumbsup]

Quite true. I think what most people are looking for is a grooming centre that can give them quality service at an affordable price and the specific product/s required/requested by the client. [nod] It's a variety of factors which come together to give what clients see as value for money. [:p]

Hehe...actually I've got tons of Autoglymn at home. And only recently I got the last set of Klasse from Fabiaman also. Think these will last me for some time.. [nod]

Thanks anyway ! [nod][thumbsup]
