Best to used 100% original ATF from Mit... Heard some horror stories abt other Mit users using other brand ATF and ran into trouble with their tranny... To save some $$$ (not that U need to tongue.gif), get the ATF from stockist (Ming Ghee/Connald) than go Khang's. Maybe also get whatever items U need changing...

Bros, quick check with you guys, any idea whether the auto tranny use filter.

Workshop up north just drain and top up. Doing it every 20k and never mention filter at all.

Rgds

Casper

Make it a habit to follow the hand book recommendations. Auto transmission clutch plate surfaces are coated with special proprietory materials and will perform to the max only when the you use recommended ATF. They are very sensitive to the type of AFT additives, dirts and water.

Some european cars now come with auto transmissions that are sealed for life and therefore need not have to change the ATF.

PS Do not allow workshop to change the ATF UNLESS they use ATF machine to drain and fill. Without ATF machine it can never be 100% drain and can never be 100% fill.
