Dualie Clutched December 28, 2003 Share December 28, 2003 Best to used 100% original ATF from Mit... Heard some horror stories abt other Mit users using other brand ATF and ran into trouble with their tranny... To save some $$$ (not that U need to ), get the ATF from stockist (Ming Ghee/Connald) than go Khang's. Maybe also get whatever items U need changing... Yeobh 4th Gear December 30, 2003 Share December 30, 2003 Make it a habit to follow the hand book recommendations. Auto transmission clutch plate surfaces are coated with special proprietory materials and will perform to the max only when the you use recommended ATF. They are very sensitive to the type of AFT additives, dirts and water. Some european cars now come with auto transmissions that are sealed for life and therefore need not have to change the ATF. PS Do not allow workshop to change the ATF UNLESS they use ATF machine to drain and fill. Without ATF machine it can never be 100% drain and can never be 100% fill. ↡ Advertisement
