Yen9 Neutral Newbie August 7, 2002 Share August 7, 2002 Hello all, I need answers real quick...the radiator's pipe(the one closest to the engine) got a small tiny leak. How shall I go along with this? Everytime I feed water to the radiator, it leaks, droplets but it sprays when its hot ! I stay in Toa Payoh...any recommendations of repair shops? I like to cut short my driving time to any repair shop. thanks alot, yen9 ↡ Advertisement
Sky8807 1st Gear August 7, 2002 Share August 7, 2002 Hi, Look like a hairline crack, and when hot where it expand, water escape. You mention pipe, was wandering whether is it the rubber hose that connect the radiator and the engine, there are two actually. One on the top and the other on the bottom. Most petrol station with workshop facilities are able to fix this problem. Only problem is the hose itself for you car model. You can go to Lor 8 industrial area there are also workshop to repair the snag. If it is the rubber hoses, then I would suggest to changed both if possible, becos when one fail, the other is also ageing already. Don't know what car you are driving, some old car uses a blank to plug the hot water pipe to the passenger compartment, the plug can also crack with time. And it is wise to check that the cooling fan is working properly.
