Has anyone bought and used a polishing machine that the professional polishing guys use?

Saw 1 at Autobacs going for 30 bucks and thought, if it can cut down the time of polishing and waxing to half, its definitely worth it.

But is it good for the paint work or is manual better?

Any comments is appreciated. [thumbsup]

Donno about $30 ones but I've used a Black and Decker random orbital buffer (Around $160) borrowed from DoctorDrake and it's great! With just the right weight I just guide the buffer on the paintwork and it evens out the application very well [;)]

Where can I find the B&D you mentioned?

Anyway, have not collected my MCF Decal yet.

Any left?

Are you the right person to ask this question?

U can find either Bosch or B&D orbital buffers in most hardware shops like Homefix, ACE Hardware or Vin Mart.

Yup decals are with me. Collect at our meetup next week [;)]

Homefix was having a promo on Bosch prdts a few wks ago. The random orbital car polisher was selling for $99.90, with a few sponges n buffers in the package. Wanted to get it for my hubby, then decided not to bcos he always complain I never help him with the car washing [sweatdrop] . BTW, the replacement sponge n buffer (package of 4) costs abt $10. I saw DrDrake demo his polisher b4 also, looked much easier n faster than manual polishing [thumbsup] .

Haha Autodiy... I also thought of the same thing!

$30 for the polisher sounds like a cheap bargain compared to a orbital buffer that cost many thimes more! One thing I dun quite like is that the power is direct from the cigar lighter in the car... meaning drainage of battery power

heehee.... [laugh] Actually, I do not know where are the homefix stores. [:p]

Would like to get one to reduce the demand on my old body for waxing. [sweatdrop]

Let me know if you come across a good one. [nod]

Thanks.

Yeah, Klasse can be applied with a random orbital buffer.

KSG probably need hand application only as it's really easy to apply and need minimal effort. Using a buffer to apply AIO is helpful as AIO has cleaning properties and a machine will spread it better.
