I do that actually. When i sent my previous car for servicing, i instructed them to rotate @ every service. Saves me the trouble also.

Don't worry, only a safety concern. You can get a second opinion from another wheel alignment shop on the method used on your car. Sometimes the practical aspect is being practice by most shop even though theory might not sound safe.

Anyway, there is one shop in Sin Ming Industrial Est called City auto testing centre which does wheel alignment and so far no complain when sent car there for alignment problem.

BK 8 Sin Ming Industrial Est #01-60

Tel 64531235, 64532255

Check it out.

What I normally do is, rotate and balance all four tyres at the same time.

After about 10,000 km or so beside the tyre wearing out at a certain profile and pattern, the balancing may also shifted a bit. Around this time, u might feel that balancing may be not as accurate as it was last done.

Recommended mileage - 10k - 15k for the above job. At the same time when the wheel are out, you can inspect the brake disc pad thickness and also the inside of the wheel compartment for any abnormaly.

So they change from front to back.... and back to front... so do they change right with left too? Think that would make the wear more even right?

Just front and back for my case as I had uni-directional tires most of the time. Proper way for a FWD is to swap the front with the diagonal rears.

About $40. Ten per tyre.

I did mine at Bukit Timah 10 mile. Opp 10 mile junction shopping.

Wheel balance is professionally done. no joke and they specialise in michelin tyre and also proper tyre puncture repair.
