Turbobrick Neutral Newbie August 25, 2002 Share August 25, 2002 Welcome to MCF bro! For dark grey rims try OZ Superleggeras which many forumers here have in an assortment of grey, silver and white colors. Check out the showroom for examples: Silver: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=46593 Grey: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=8445 White: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=19155 (note: painted white at painter, not original color)
Cool Neutral Newbie August 25, 2002 Share August 25, 2002 ST115 will only be quiet for 1 month, after that, it will be noisy. In the market, ST115 is oem by Stanford Tyres.. The first batch was from Japan which is very good but the rest are from Thailand. How to tell ? Before they tire of the wrappers.. it shows where it is made. In my opinion, I will go for DB Aspec. I once used ST115, but after 3 months, traded in for MIchellim..

Lester Neutral Newbie August 26, 2002 Share August 26, 2002 Hi there! Seems like you made a fairly good choice with yoru money! I believe with some minor adjustments and replacements of aftermarket parts, this car can catch attention and bring you plcs. If I can remember correctly the mileage of the YRV is not bad. Try your luck around JB. When you are free, just drive around and everywhere. See tire or rim shop only stop and ask and browse. It took me almost 3 mths to find wat I'm using now. It's a limited edition set and only 500 sets in the world if my sources are correct. I visited 40 over shops in JB alone all the way up to Ayer Hitam! Try your luck, you might find something you didn't tot you'd find. Maybe even 2nd hand ones are great but remember to bargain! Lester
Cool Neutral Newbie August 29, 2002 Share August 29, 2002 Othello.. Daihatsu YVR is a joint product between Toyota and Daihatsu.. YVR has similiar parts to Toyota.. but I understand that if you buy from Daihatsu Agent, it is more expensive. You don't believe me just take a look at the taillight, you will see the small Toyota Logo and description on it. YVR have similiar parts to the Echo.. and only the branding is more expensive Daihatsu. Take a close look...

Mondeo Neutral Newbie September 2, 2002 Share September 2, 2002 "D" for Daihatsu. What is model that you got?
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie September 2, 2002 Share September 2, 2002 I advise against ROH rims as they are mighty heavy! Try shopping for OZ Superleggeras or Chronos. Another option is to try Taiwanese rims though they may not be strong (especially against potholes!)

Mondeo Neutral Newbie September 2, 2002 Share September 2, 2002 Have U asked the agent whether can shift to OZ Superleggara for jet in some money and trade-in the original wheels?
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie September 2, 2002 Share September 2, 2002 U lucky, got one week MC somemore.....how about Advanti or ASA rims? They look good and not that heavy (cannot compare to SL lah).
Guyver 1st Gear September 2, 2002 Share September 2, 2002 My personal advice is go with the stock one for awhile... and take your time for good bargain. Just like me... when i got my car 1 year ago.. almost wanted to get a new set of rims & tyres at about $1,200 for 16" rim & tyres... but decided to wait. Recently saw a good bargain.. so got it in...... take a look at the pics and tell me how much do u think i paid.....
Mondeo Neutral Newbie September 2, 2002 Share September 2, 2002 Not to offense, but do u know that nowaday got trade-in. Since his stock is new wheels, can get better price or even ask the car agent to change it by just add some cash.
