Beanoyip Turbocharged August 29, 2002 Share August 29, 2002 oh believe it or not? 3 of my windows dropped and only 1 servicable one. Crappy parts crappy car. Everything seems to be falling apart now. And worst of all no spares! When 3 of the same part fails.. they tell me its not a manufacture fault. So who's fault? On top of it i even have to pay for the part. Agent is crapped up also. ↡ Advertisement
Veron Neutral Newbie August 30, 2002 Share August 30, 2002 (edited) Hi Beanoyip, we had 2 of our window regulators replaced not so long ago too. Seems like it's due to faulty VAG design affecting all the brands, not only Skoda. REad abt our experience from the following threads: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi...y;so=ASC;mh=25; http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi...=windows;#31393 Edited August 30, 2002 by Veron
PointyEwe Clutched September 2, 2002 Share September 2, 2002 Problem is not with Skoda, it has to do with the inferior Volks parts!!! My friend's 1 year old plus Bora has its windows dropped twice!! He took damn good care for his car and his car is not even second hand! He told me the windows part is the same for all VG, Audi, Seat, Skoda cars.... as he saw the replacement part they used. Btw, according to him, C&C has a damn bloody crappy service team! First time window dropped and repaired, he found out the door seems to close with a funny sound and no more the solid tud! Anyway, he has yet to figure out what is causing this disturbing sound. Second time when he replaced the dropped window, he found a spring on his mat when he collected the car!! KNN and the service advisor has the cheek to tell him that the spring is not an important part and he shouldn't be too bother abt it!! Wah lun eh.. dat time he really hot ah and demand the spring be put back to its right place. I bet the service guys there just pocket up the spring and told him the next day it is fixed! Now kinda have to thx JTA for giving me the cheapo power windows, although it might still be too early to say...
