In that case, go for a CDT 6 1/2" coaxial. Easy for the HU to drive and great sounds. Good fit and mounting will be my responsibility. Major cause leading to poor sound quality is pple choose spkrs for ease of fit rather than best of sound. [pirate] (or-mak-kak ie black eye)

Thanks AutoS! I am not planning any other upgrades, just the speakers. But i am not sure if the front can fit 6" or 61/2"? [crazy]

If your budget permits, go for the CDT 6.5" component lah...

Protection of investment => can use without amp now (AutoS has tricks to get it work well) and next time when you upgrade, can still use with amp.

$$$ better to check with AutoS.... [:p]

The best approach is to meet him on Saturday, let him listen to your current setup and let him know your budget. Then discuss with him to select the best approach. [:)]

Just travel along Joo Chiat road and depending on which direction u r turn left/right. The shop is the second or third one after you turn. Now as for parking ... hmmm u just have to park illegally on double yellow line as he has to hear ur system to make a decision. [shocked]

Just did a new Focus last week.

Good component speakers start at $200 and up, anything less is a waste and more is not necessary a guarantee. Real top end component speakers cost ard the $1K mark and Rainbow ref spkrs are 5 figure. Mentioned just as a ref pt to px ranges.

Choice will depend on Ur budget and whether U'r intending to use amp power and also any intentions of future upgrades.

If not using amp, can also opt for good coaxials for less than $200. Better choice than opting for cheap components.

If step by step upgrade first step should be the front speakers which are by far the most important hardware in any system. Always install 6" or 6 1/2". Good front speakers selected, result will be like night and day from the original speakers.

Thanks AutoS! I am not planning any other upgrades, just the speakers. But i am not sure if the front can fit 6" or 61/2"? [crazy]

The focus car he did last week was actually mine.[sly] I fitted in a 6 1/2 " speakers in the front so u sld have no worries about that. Suggest u go for a components speakers as well. Better for upgrade in the future than just add in amp and sub

I would just go for whatever he recommended...do not intend to spend too much, just the speakers [blush]
