Some are original and TUV approved. Those are expensive and the smoke effect is within the cover material, not sprayed on. And those smoked lights doesn't reduce light transmission like a sprayed on light does.

hmmm, and i didn't even know that smoked tail-lights are illigal in sillypore...

gas it doesn't make it any better if you spray from the inside rather then the outside...

Sorry, can't help you there as I've no experience in spraying tail-lights. I don't recommend it as any paint will definitely reduce the light transmission and might pose a hazard to those driving behind you. Anyway, for a DIY, it may prove difficult to spray as you've gotta get it right the first time. Too much paint, you've gotta get a new set of lights!

Just my $0.02.

I use Tamiya clear red/smoke to tint the tail-lights.

I placed both lights very close together, and sprayed them as one. The tint can be removed by using fine sandpaper (tried before).

To avoid unnecessary attention, I only tint the signal lens, not the whole combination lamp. [idea]

Its the sticker shop opposite TP HQ at UBI ...

The shop got lots of number plates outside...

Boss is young looking chap called Johnson [;)]

Talk to him best..cos he's always smiling ...

Just tell him what you wanna do and he'll help you [thumbsup]

If you're not confident of sticking it yourself, can ask him to help you.

He's got lots of experience doing up cars for our local rallies.

Can see his "portfolio" in the shop...just look at all the mini photo albums thrown around the computer and you'll know [laugh]

His other family members all always black face [:p]
