Any Perf Diff btw Universal & Model Specific Muffler?

hi all can someone pls advise if there's a differnce btw those Universal fitted muffler & a model specific made one? in terms of performance mainly.

 

Let's say granted both are of the same brand e.g. Supersprint. Am looking for 1 for my 03 civic vti.
